
’ve spent most of my 25 year career deliberately putting myself in situations where the stakes were high and the outcome wasn’t guaranteed; from being part of the small team that shipped and scaled League of Legends at Riot Games, to co-founding and running a venture backed studio as CEO and Game Director for the last 8+ years.
Now I work with founders and studio leaders on the decisions that matter most; the moments when runway gets tight, when it’s time to raise or ship, and when the hardest calls need to be made.

After leaving Riot to co-found Vela Games (back before that was “a thing”), myself and my two partners wanted to take our collective learnings and do something big, ambitious. To go big or go home. The triumphs and lessons were countless, and nothing could prepare us for the journey.

I joined Riot in early 2008, and helped ship League of Legends through dire straits in 2009. Shortly after launch I took over as the Team Lead, overseeing the unified League team during our fastest growth phase with hyper competition from Valve and Blizzard. Put an armoured bear in.

I cut my teeth straight out of university on one of the biggest franchises in the world. The IP was a dream, and the gameplay was ambitious, but bringing anything decent to market was a challenge. I learned a lot about how games are really made and how to be part of the solutions.
